We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC fiber laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering drawings and production requirements. - Set up and operate CNC fiber laser cutting machines to manufacture precision sheet metal components.
- Load machine programs, adjust cutting parameters, and ensure the correct selection of materials and consumables.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, production plans, and nesting layouts to achieve accurate dimensions and quality standards.
- Prepare sheet metal materials by measuring, positioning, and securing them before machining.
- Monitor machine operations throughout production, making necessary adjustments to cutting speed, power settings, and assist gases for optimal performance.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting while reporting technical issues to the maintenance team.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Record production information, material usage, completed jobs, and scrap details accurately within company systems.
- Collaborate with production planners, CAD/CAM programmers, and quality teams to improve cutting efficiency, reduce material waste, and enhance productivity.
- Follow company quality standards, workplace safety procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machines or CO₂ Laser Cutting Machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication, engineering drawings, and CNC machine operations.
- Knowledge of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal materials along with appropriate cutting techniques.
- Familiarity with laser machine consumables, industrial gases, and laser safety procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machines used for precision sheet metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM-generated nesting programs and production optimization techniques.
- Experience working with automated sheet loading systems, conveyors, or material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.
