Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility is looking for an EV Service Technician in Dubai, UAE, to join its BYD Aftersales Retail Team. This opportunity is ideal for automotive technicians interested in electric vehicle (EV) technology, vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repair work on BYD electric vehicles.
- Identify and troubleshoot faults in automotive electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose issues involving electric vehicle components, battery systems, and high-voltage systems, where trained and authorized.
- Complete vehicle repairs according to manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, and approved workshop procedures.
- Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time to minimize vehicle downtime and improve service quality.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and support Electronic Vehicle Check (EVC) reporting.
- Follow high-voltage safety procedures and all relevant workshop health, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and comply with 5S practices.
- Use diagnostic equipment, tools, spare parts, and workshop resources efficiently.
- Coordinate with service supervisors and colleagues to ensure timely vehicle servicing and repair.
- Maintain accurate technical information and follow established service processes.
- Keep up to date with developments in electric vehicle technology and automotive diagnostic systems.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering reliable repairs and professional aftersales service.

Qualifications and Experience

- A Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Automotive Technician, Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician, General Repair Technician, or EV Technician.
- Hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Experience working with electric or hybrid vehicles is highly preferred.
- EV or high-voltage (HV) certification is an advantage.
- Familiarity with manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools and repair manuals.
- A good understanding of vehicle electrical, electronic, and high-voltage systems.
- A valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
