Job Purpose
Emirates is hiring experienced Direct Entry Captains in Dubai for its growing fleet. This opportunity is designed for highly experienced airline pilots who can demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership and a commitment to operational excellence.
Successful candidates can join Emirates as Airbus A350 or A380 Captains, subject to meeting the required flying experience, aircraft qualifications, medical and licensing requirements.
To be considered for the Direct Entry Captain position, candidates must have a minimum of 7,000 hours of total flying experience in multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft. Only flight time in the operating seat of qualifying turboprop and/or turbojet aircraft is counted; simulator time is excluded.
Emirates Direct Entry Captain Requirements
Candidates applying for Emirates Direct Entry Captain Jobs in Dubai must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 7,000 hours total flying time
- Flying experience must exclude P3, rotary and single/multi-engine piston aircraft
- Minimum 150 hours during the past 12 months on Airbus Fly-By-Wire (FBW) aircraft as Captain
- Hold a valid ICAO ATPL
- Hold a matching Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ICAO English proficiency at Level 5 or above
- Currently operating Airbus FBW aircraft as a Captain
Note: Airbus FBW experience excludes the Airbus A220.
A380 Captain Requirements
Candidates applying for the Emirates A380 Captain position must have:
- Minimum 3,000 hours PIC on Airbus FBW wide-body aircraft
- Experience on aircraft such as A330, A340, A350 or A380
- Current experience flying an Airbus FBW wide-body aircraft as Captain
A350 Captain Requirements
Candidates applying for the Emirates A350 Captain position must have:
- Minimum 3,000 hours PIC on an Airbus FBW aircraft
- Experience on A320, A330, A340, A350 or A380 aircraft
- Current experience flying Airbus FBW aircraft as Captain
