Job Purpose
Emirates offers an Accelerated Command Pilot Programme in Dubai for experienced airline pilots who meet the required flying, command and aircraft experience.
Selected pilots will join Emirates as Airbus First Officers with an enhanced salary package and the opportunity to progress toward an accelerated command upgrade.
As part of the programme, pilots will operate in the right-hand seat for a minimum of 700 stick hours and successfully complete two Evidence Based Training (EBT) recurrent training modules. Pilots who demonstrate the required performance and meet the programme standards may then become eligible for an accelerated command assessment and upgrade course.
Emirates Accelerated Command Programme
The programme provides an opportunity for experienced pilots to build their career with Emirates while working toward command progression.
The pathway includes:
- Joining Emirates as an Airbus First Officer
- Operating a minimum of 700 stick hours in the right-hand seat
- Completing two EBT recurrent training modules
- Meeting the required performance and competency standards
- Completing the accelerated command assessment process
- Undertaking the required command upgrade course
- Progressing toward an Emirates Captain position upon successful completion of the assessment and training requirements
Emirates Accelerated Command Pilot Requirements
Candidates applying for Emirates Accelerated Command Jobs in Dubai must meet the following experience and qualification requirements:
- Minimum 5,000 hours total flying time
- Flying experience must exclude P3, rotary and single/multi-engine piston aircraft
- Minimum 2,000 hours command time on Boeing or Airbus Fly-By-Wire (FBW) aircraft
- Minimum 1,000 hours command time on Airbus FBW aircraft
- Airbus FBW aircraft type flown within the past three years
- Minimum 150 hours during the past 12 months on Airbus FBW or Boeing aircraft
- Hold a valid ICAO ATPL
- Hold a matching Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ICAO English proficiency of Level 5 or above
Note: Airbus FBW experience excludes the Airbus A220.

Emirates Accelerated Command Salary and Benefits

The total annual package can reach approximately AED 970,000 (USD 260,000).
