Monthly Salary: AED 3,500 – AED 4,000
Key Responsibilities
The ELV Technical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating ELV works from the installation stage through testing, commissioning and project handover.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the installation, testing and commissioning of ELV and low-current systems.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and approved project documents.
- Coordinate systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, data networks, intercom, public address, SMATV, IPTV, BMS and fire alarm systems.
- Work with architectural, civil, mechanical and electrical teams to identify and resolve installation conflicts.
- Assist with the preparation and review of shop drawings, coordination drawings and technical submittals.
- Monitor site activities and verify that ELV installations follow approved drawings, specifications and manufacturer recommendations.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders on technical matters.
- Participate in technical meetings, site inspections and project progress reviews.
- Monitor ELV material, equipment and manpower requirements based on project schedules.
- Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and integration of installed systems.
- Review inspection requests, testing documentation and commissioning records.
- Assist in resolving technical queries, non-conformance issues and outstanding snag items.
- Support the preparation of as-built drawings, test certificates, warranties and operation and maintenance documentation.
- Follow applicable project quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Help identify practical improvements that can increase installation efficiency and system performance.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, higher diploma or relevant technical qualification in one of the following areas:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Telecommunications
- Information Technology
- A related technical discipline
Experience and Skills
Applicants should have previous experience working as an ELV Coordinator, ELV Engineer, Low-Current Engineer, Systems Coordinator or in a similar technical position.
Candidates should also have:
- Practical knowledge of ELV and low-current systems.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, structured cabling, intercom, public address, fire alarm, BMS and related systems.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of ELV testing, commissioning and system integration procedures.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants and project teams.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and project safety requirements.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Good communication and technical coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities and meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining project quality standards.
