The successful candidate will work as part of the BYD aftersales operation, helping ensure vehicles are inspected, maintained, and repaired according to required safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

As a General Repair Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and general repair work on BYD vehicles.
• Identify mechanical and technical faults and carry out the appropriate repairs.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures, workshop manuals, and electric vehicle safety requirements.
• Complete repairs correctly the first time while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Inspect vehicles carefully and assist with electric vehicle check reports.
• Follow workshop health, safety, quality, and 5S procedures.
• Complete assigned repair jobs within expected productivity and efficiency targets.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians when additional technical support is required.
• Use workshop equipment and diagnostic tools responsibly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional working environment.
• Support the aftersales team in providing reliable service and a positive customer experience.

Skills Required

Candidates should have a strong technical understanding of automotive maintenance and repair. Important skills for this position include:

• Automotive mechanical and technical knowledge.
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing maintenance and general repairs.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should ideally have:

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or an equivalent automotive/technical qualification.
• Approximately 2–3 years of relevant automotive technician experience.
• Previous experience as a General Repair Technician, Automotive Technician, or Diagnostic Technician.
• Practical knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Previous experience working with electric or hybrid vehicles is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
