Al-Futtaim Retail is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable E-commerce Fulfilment Assistant to support online order processing at Maje, Dubai Mall (TDM), in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an E-commerce Fulfilment Assistant, you will be responsible for picking, checking, packing, and dispatching online customer orders using store inventory. You will also assist with returns processing, stock accuracy, shipment preparation, and order status updates to ensure customers receive the correct products in excellent condition and within the required delivery timelines.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, good communication abilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities of an E-commerce Fulfilment Assistant
1. Online Order Processing and Fulfilment
- Pick products from the sales floor or stockroom according to online order details, including product size, colour, SKU, and quantity.
- Check every order carefully to ensure the correct items are selected before packing.
- Pack products according to Maje brand standards, including folding, tissue wrapping, tagging, and secure packaging.
- Include the required invoices and documentation with each shipment.
- Prepare online orders for dispatch within the required daily cut-off times.
- Coordinate with store management and the e-commerce team to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency throughout the order processing cycle.
2. Shipment Preparation and Dispatch
- Print shipping labels and attach air waybills (AWBs) to the correct packages.
- Coordinate with courier partners to arrange timely shipment collection and handover.
- Update dispatch statuses and shipment information in the relevant systems.
- Ensure packages are securely sealed and ready for delivery.
- Monitor fulfilment deadlines and prioritize orders according to dispatch schedules.
- Report shipping delays, missing information, or dispatch issues to the appropriate team.
3. Quality Control and Inventory Management
- Inspect products before dispatch to identify damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Verify product sizes, barcodes, quantities, and order notes before completing each shipment.
- Ensure security tags are removed where required and in accordance with store procedures.
- Conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Follow proper stock put-away procedures and keep merchandise organized.
- Report missing, damaged, or out-of-stock products promptly.
- Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and system-related issues.
4. Returns Processing and Stockroom Operations
- Receive returned products and inspect their condition according to company procedures.
- Check returned items for damage and ensure they meet the applicable return-processing requirements.
- Relabel and restock eligible merchandise in the appropriate locations.
- Update return information and inventory records in the relevant systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fulfilment area.
- Follow housekeeping, storage, and operational standards throughout the shift.
- Escalate issues involving returns, missing items, damaged merchandise, or system errors to the relevant team.
