Job Details:
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Trade Sourcing & Partnership for our cross-border e-commerce company who will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of specific product categories. As a strategic visionary, you will be responsible for shaping the direction of our cross-border product
offerings, curating a diverse assortment that resonates with international customers, and creating unique value propositions for each market.

Collaboration will be at the heart of your role, as you work closely with sales, marketing, analytics, operations, and technology teams to bring your category visions to life. Your ability to merge creativity with data-driven insights will be crucial in optimizing the customer journey, maximizing revenue growth, and fostering lasting supplier relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to blend innovation, cultural sensitivity, and strategic acumen to contribute to the ongoing success of our cross-border e-commerce venture.

Your primary objective will be to lead a multidisciplinary team in developing and executing comprehensive category strategies that capitalize on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights. By doing so, you will not only elevate our brand’s presence in international markets but also shape the global e-commerce landscape by delivering exceptional products and experiences.
Create, review, analyze and finalize the commercial contracts and SLAs.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain.
Manage risk by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing options.
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure Vendor/ partner performance and the effectiveness of sourcing strategies & monitor supplier/ Partner
Category Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with the company’s cross-border e-commerce objectives. Identify market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to drive category growth and market penetration.
Product Assortment: Manage the sourcing teams to curate a diverse and compelling product assortment, considering regional preferences and cross-border regulations. Manage product lifecycle, introduce new products, and ensure optimal stock levels.
Identify and onboard new countries either for exporting or importing.
Build advocacy within the leaders of trade & industry.
performance against established KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.
Supplier Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure consistent product availability. Collaborate to enhance product quality and exclusivity within the category.
Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a cross-functional team including category managers, account managers, analysts, and operations staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to achieve team and individual goals.

Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional campaigns, marketing collateral, and strategies that increase category visibility, customer engagement, and conversion rates.
Customer Insights: Utilize data and customer insights to refine category strategies, improve customer satisfaction, and drive customer-centric enhancements within the category.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads, including Sales, Logistics, Customer Experience, Finance, and Technology, to ensure seamless execution of category strategies and overall business growth.

Responsible for the management of individual team members, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Perform other related duties as assigned.


Strong negotiation skills for building and maintaining favorable supplier relationships.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
5 years of experience in e-commerce, commercial or related industry, with [3] years of leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, fostering collaboration, growth, and high performance.
Proficiency in analyzing data to inform decisions, optimize outcomes, and identify growth opportunities.

Operational knowledge of techniques required for market research and analysis.
Sound knowledge of website management and eCommerce usability.
Proficient with Microsoft office Applications, MS Access and others.
Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Google Analytics tools for websites
Relevant category management experience with focus on commercial engagements and B2B sales within e-commerce industry
Certification in Advanced Negotiation skills training.
Extensive experience with practices and techniques related to web merchandising or online retailing.
Extensive experience in B2B cross-border commerce and related services including documentation, legislations, logistics, clearance, finance and payment.

The ideal candidate is a focused on identifying and developing new initiatives, and has strong business judgment, with a track record of actively collaborating and working with diverse developing teams. Analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills are musts. The right candidate stays on top of industry trends and can execute at both a tactical and strategic level. S/he will be responsible for building direct relationships with customer counterparts, identifying and developing business opportunities and driving growth across the B2B and B2C E-Commerce businesses.

The person must be a self-starter and effective communicator with leadership and managerial skills.
