Key Responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and project specifications to ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations.
- Coordinate with Dubai Municipality and other government authorities to obtain project approvals, permits, inspections, and completion certificates.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable UAE regulations, local building codes, and statutory requirements.
- Support project managers, consultants, and contractors in resolving technical and regulatory issues.
- Conduct site inspections to verify that construction activities meet approved drawings and authority requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, authority submissions, engineering documentation, and compliance records.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of regulatory approvals.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and engineering standards.
- Support internal teams during authority inspections and project handovers.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations, engineering codes, and approval procedures.
- Experience managing authority approvals, permits, and engineering compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory documents.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Valid Dubai Municipality (DM) Engineer Certification.
- Active Society of Engineers (SOE) Membership.
- Experience working in UAE construction, engineering consultancy, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Dubai Municipality regulations, authority approval procedures, and engineering compliance.
- Experience coordinating approvals with government authorities and regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
