A leading construction and real estate organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead and coordinate all design-related activities across large-scale development and construction projects. Key Responsibilities

Design Management

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of project design activities.
• Develop and implement design management strategies to support project objectives.
• Monitor design progress and ensure timely delivery of approved design documents.
• Coordinate design information among architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve design-related challenges before they impact project schedules.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with operations, procurement, commercial, and planning teams.
• Ensure all design submissions comply with project specifications and contractual requirements.
• Facilitate technical meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor design deliverables and ensure alignment with project milestones.

BIM and Technical Coordination

• Coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities across disciplines.
• Ensure updated project models are available to project teams and stakeholders.
• Support design integration and clash detection processes.
• Maintain consistency between design documents and construction requirements.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify design risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support claims management and extension of time documentation when required.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and safety requirements.
• Monitor design changes and maintain accurate records of project modifications.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop design team members.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout project lifecycles.
• Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the design department.
• Promote collaboration between multidisciplinary teams.

Quality Assurance

• Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, sample boards, and mock-ups.
• Ensure design deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Maintain accurate design documentation and audit records.
• Support successful project handover through complete design documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Architecture background is highly preferred.
• Professional certifications in design, project management, or engineering will be considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 15 to 20 years of experience in construction, engineering, or real estate development projects.
• Extensive experience working with Tier 1 construction companies in the GCC region.
• Strong track record managing complex and large-scale projects.
• Experience in UAE construction projects is highly desirable.
