Key Responsibilities

Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning

• Lead the development and implementation of predictive models for financial and risk-related use cases.
• Work on applications such as residual value prediction, credit scoring, delinquency prediction, and collections optimization.
• Apply machine learning techniques to improve financial performance, forecasting, and risk management.
• Deliver successful data science use cases that demonstrate measurable business value.

Financial Dashboards and KPI Development

• Develop financial KPIs, performance metrics, and risk dashboards to support business monitoring and decision-making.
• Use statistical analysis and data visualization techniques to present financial trends and insights clearly.
• Build and maintain comprehensive finance dashboards for key stakeholders.
• Translate complex datasets into easy-to-understand visual reports and actionable information.

Financial Data Analysis and Insights

• Analyze financial data using advanced analytical techniques, including time series analysis, anomaly detection, and stress testing.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps through data-driven analysis.
• Generate regular actionable financial insights to support strategic planning and business decisions.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Team and Project Leadership

• Lead and support a team of data scientists working on finance and analytics projects.
• Manage the execution of data science initiatives from problem definition through model development and implementation.
• Ensure analytics solutions are aligned with business objectives and financial priorities.
• Collaborate with finance, technology, risk, and other business teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Required Skills and Expertise

Candidates should have strong knowledge of data science, machine learning, financial analytics, and predictive modeling, along with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.

Key technical skills include:

• Predictive modeling using ARIMA, SARIMA, LSTM, and Prophet.
• Machine learning techniques such as gradient boosting, ensemble learning, and neural networks.
• Strong statistical analysis and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience with data visualization and financial reporting.
• Ability to explain complex data science concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or MSc in Financial Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science and analytics, preferably within finance or a financial services environment.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience working with Databricks and modern data science platforms.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Practical knowledge of ARIMA, SARIMA, and Prophet forecasting techniques.
• Experience with MLOps and Git.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools and libraries including Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly.
