Al-Futtaim Technologies is looking for an experienced Data Network Engineer in Dubai, UAE to manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise data networking and ICT infrastructure solutions delivered through AMC and managed service contracts.
The role involves network implementation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, incident management, and change management. The Data Network Engineer will work with Cisco and Aruba networking technologies, including switches, wireless controllers, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and related network infrastructure.
This is a hands-on networking role that requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, customer-facing experience, and the ability to manage critical network incidents while meeting agreed service-level requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support data network and ICT infrastructure solutions in coordination with customers, technology partners, service providers, and business stakeholders.
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure at customer locations across the UAE.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco and Aruba switches, wireless controllers, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Perform advanced network diagnostics to identify and resolve connectivity, performance, configuration, and infrastructure issues.
- Support enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routing, switching, and network security environments.
- Carry out network upgrades, maintenance activities, security configuration changes, patches, hotfixes, and service-pack installations.
- Manage network incidents and break/fix issues from initial diagnosis through resolution, repair, or equipment replacement.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and network health checks to improve system reliability and reduce customer downtime.
- Monitor network performance and respond to service requests within agreed SLA requirements.
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide appropriate technical solutions for recurring network and infrastructure problems.
- Execute network change management activities while ensuring minimal impact on customer operations.
- Support project implementation and ensure technical activities are completed within agreed scope, schedule, quality, and cost requirements.
- Prepare and maintain network documentation, configuration records, test reports, and technical service documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and system usage training to customers when required.
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers, principals, and service providers during complex technical escalations.
- Prioritize incidents and technical tasks to maximize network availability and minimize customer downtime.
Required Skills and Technical Experience

- Proven experience providing on-site enterprise network support.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.
- Valid CCNP Routing and Switching certification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data networking, routing and switching, infrastructure, Wi-Fi, security, and firewall solutions.
- Relevant experience working with Cisco and Aruba network environments.
- Experience with enterprise network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
