Manager – Data Engineering will be responsible for conception, design, development, and deployment of data warehouse components. Define Logical and Physical data models for the data warehouse and all data marts. Evaluation and selection of infrastructure components including hardware, OLAP Database and networking facilities. Design and develop ETL Framework and Packages to Support Data warehouse. Perform application design and configuration of tools supporting Data Warehouse.
ROLE PROFILE:
Practice the company values and guarantees the same is respected and followed by the department team members.
In depth understanding on cloud computing, i.e. Different databases, running ETLs, composing complex queries on known cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, etc and in-depth understanding on building predicative analytics models using AI & Machine learning
Encourage the adoption of organization’s frameworks by providing documentation, training, sample code and developer support
Prepare designs for database systems, recommend improvements for performance and ensure effective use of data warehouse resources to deliver optimized performance and availability of the system.
Design and Develop various ETL processes and prepare OLAP cubes, along with maintaining and developing various databases, operating system scripts and supporting tools to facilitate process automation.
Work closely with Head of Analytics to retrieve data from various different sources to integrated with the Data warehouse. Collaborate with Analytics and reporting team to design and development of new Data warehouse components.
Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the ETL pipelines and DataMart’s.
Role model and ensure the application of Majid Al Futtaim Retail corporate policies and guarantee the implementation of all laws, regulations and cultural practices of the operating countries are followed and respected.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any relevant discipline
Must have experience in databases, running ETL’s, cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, etc.
12-15 years in the related function
Good time management and problem solving skills
Highly organized with strong multitasking skills
High attention to detail
