The position is responsible for managing and creating online content for the brand across Food & Fashion platforms. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-motivated team player who thrives in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. The role involves planning, executing, and maintaining on-site content, collaborating across departments to ensure high standards of on-site excellence. Building strong relationships with the UK team and managing technical system integration are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Management
- Develop engaging content for M&S platforms to appeal to different personas and market segments.
- Ensure accurate and reliable product data sources for content creation, aligning with local requirements.
- Write marketing copy for individual products within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure content adheres to brand, quality, and SEO guidelines.
- Create and update landing pages with proper links, images, and videos.
- Draft site-wide customer information, including FAQs, product descriptions, About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Help Pages, project articles, newsletters, etc.
Content Scheduling & Execution
- Coordinate and manage content schedules/plans and assets. Accurately upload copies and assets using the content management system (CMS).
- Collaborate with category and merchandising teams to stay informed on stock levels and prioritize products for timely launches.
- Ensure products go live promptly as stock becomes available.
SEO & Optimization
- Work closely with the SEO Specialist to produce high-quality, search-engine-friendly content that drives traffic and sales.
Collaboration & Integration
- Build strong relationships with the UK team to manage the integration of technical systems and ensure seamless implementation of online content and copy.
Required Skills for Success:
- A fast and accurate proofreader with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of standard concepts and practices within the software lifecycle.
- Experience in SEO (preferred).
- Understanding of accessibility issues and compliance solutions.
- Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) tools (e.g., Akeneo).
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional manner.
- Autonomous, results-oriented, and capable of implementing new ideas effectively.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of eCommerce experience.
