  • Role & Responsibility:
    We are looking for a Business Development Manager to oversee the Metals and Mining Sector, this individual will help set the strategy and direction undertaken by the business as we mature our service and offering globally, with a particular focus on the West African market.
  • Role will report to the Group Business Development Manager based in UAE.
  • You will play a key role in identifying and engaging new customers for AIE, whilst continuing to nurture existing relationships.
  • Your work will solidify customer relationships and convert leads into sales of our Integrity Management Services and Veracity Software Platform – in particular Veracity APM.
  • Duty:
  • Structuring problems effectively to develop key insights and sound recommendations that identify
  • and close performance gaps for the client
  • Providing domain expertise as part of proposal development and supporting other team members (e.g., Principal / Director) in meetings and presentations with clients to actively contribute to revenue
  • Ensuring optimal product delivery and delivering in-person demos where required
  • Participating in marketing events, such as trade shows and product launches
  • Managing and communicating opportunities through CRM software
  • Creating strategies for prospecting new customers
  • Properly qualifying prospects to efficiently manage your time
  • Managing the full end-to-end sales process, including software demonstrations, objection handling, and closing deals
  • Identifying proactively opportunities and/or risks, potential solutions, and key trends relating to the
  • area of domain expertise, including the development and enhancement of IP
  • Due to the international remit of this role, AIE is open to considering remote candidates or those
  • willing to relocate to the UAE, where AIE is based. The candidate is expected to travel frequently.
  • Educations:
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Relevant experience at a mining operation or consulting company
  • Familiarity with managing sales activity via a CRM platform
  • Successful track record in working within a multi-channel B2B environment
  • Evidence of acting as a strategic business partner through influencing and interacting with key
  • stakeholders across a matrix organization
  • Combination of strategic and business development skills set
  • Enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse team environment
  • Enjoy and willing to travel frequently for business
  • Maintain the highest standard of personal and technical integrity
  • At least 5 years in technology sales to the mining industry
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (Read, Speak, Write)
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to build internal and external networks
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Previous consulting experience is advantageous
  • Well-versed in managing complex sales cycles end-to-end
  • Strong prospecting and qualification skills
