The Operational & Financial Auditor is responsible for performing independent and objective audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and asset protection. The role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational information while supporting management in achieving strategic and business objectives. The position requires close collaboration with senior management and leverages advanced data analytics and computer-assisted audit techniques to enhance audit quality and coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution

Support the Audit Manager in developing the annual audit plan through comprehensive risk assessment.

Design and implement audit programs for each engagement, covering identified risks, key controls, and audit procedures.

Conduct operational and financial audits to assess internal control effectiveness, efficiency, and performance quality.

Evaluate compliance with Group policies, procedures, and delegated authority frameworks.

Ensure the safeguarding and proper utilization of Group assets throughout audit activities.
Reporting & Documentation

Document audit work clearly and accurately in the Audit Management System to support conclusions and findings.

Prepare well-structured audit reports outlining observations, root-cause analysis, risks, and actionable recommendations.

Provide timely updates to the Audit Manager on critical findings and emerging risks.

Discuss preliminary audit findings with relevant stakeholders to validate facts and obtain management concurrence.

Assist in preparing executive summaries and detailed audit reports for management review.

Prepare monthly audit summary reports for the Vice Chairman, following internal review.

Track and follow up on the implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
Computer-Assisted Auditing & Data Analytics

Apply computer-assisted audit techniques using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and ACL to expand audit coverage.

Use data analytics to test full populations or representative samples, improving audit efficiency and accuracy.
Professional Development & Contribution

Maintain high standards of audit performance in line with international internal auditing standards and best practices.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Group policies, procedures, and long-term governance objectives.
Special Assignments & Fraud Investigations

Perform advisory and consulting assignments at management’s request to evaluate specific operational or financial issues.

Conduct fraud investigations to identify control weaknesses, financial exposure, root causes, and impact.

Recommend preventive and corrective measures to mitigate future fraud risks.
Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of internal controls, auditing standards, and risk management frameworks.

Proficiency in data analytics and computer-assisted audit tools, including ACL.

Ability to manage multiple audit assignments independently with minimal supervision.

Strong influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills across all organizational levels.
Qualifications & Experience

Professional certification such as CA (CPA/ACA), ACCA, or CIA with solid grounding in internal audit practices.

3–5 years of internal audit experience, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.

Hands-on experience with data analytics using spreadsheets and exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in audit report writing.
