AMC Operator – Fire Alarm Systems (Al Ain)
The AMC Operator for Fire Alarm Systems is responsible for the continuous monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). This role ensures that all systems remain fully functional, compliant with safety regulations, and operate efficiently through regular inspections, testing, and coordination with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fire alarm control panels and respond quickly to alarms, faults, and system notifications.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system walk-throughs.
- Provide technical support for the installation, operation, and upkeep of fire alarm systems.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular system testing, equipment checks, and assist with commissioning activities.
- Develop and implement effective testing procedures for fire alarm systems.
- Identify faults, troubleshoot issues, and carry out timely repairs.
- Program, configure, and update fire alarm systems as needed.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve issues and ensure service quality.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, reports, and system performance.
- Ensure all activities comply with local fire safety regulations and company standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in fire alarm maintenance or AMC roles.
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, control panels, and related components.
- Hands-on experience with system programming, especially addressable fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of local fire safety regulations and authority requirements (e.g., Civil Defense).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients.
