Role Overview
The Team Lead will manage the entire claim resubmission lifecycle, mitigate financial risk by analyzing payer payment behaviors, and lead periodic reconciliations (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) with insurance providers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) in strict compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Denial & Resubmission Management: Supervise and accelerate the timely resubmission of eligible Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP), and Pharmacy claims backed by valid medical justifications and coding accuracy.
Clinical Collaboration: Coordinate with physicians and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) specialists to gather clinical justifications for complex rejections and improve medical documentation.
Process Optimization: Partner with Pre-Authorization, Billing, and Claims Submission teams to eliminate technical denials, streamline root-cause analyses, and implement system validation rules.
Insurance Reconciliation: Lead quarterly and annual sign-offs and reconciliations with insurance companies and TPAs, identifying defaulting payers and resolving payment discrepancies.
Team Leadership & KPI Monitoring: Ensure team members meet turnaround time (TAT), quality, and productivity targets through continuous training, auditing, and performance tracking.
Reporting & Compliance: Maintain detailed, categorized statements of technical and medical denials, reporting financial risk indicators and discrepancy trends directly to the Head of Department (HOD).
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of specialized experience in a leading medical resubmission, insurance reconciliation, or RCM supervisory role.
Certifications:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC / CCS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Medical or Paramedical certification/degree.
Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with UAE health insurance frameworks, TPA operations, and DHA billing/coding guidelines.
Core Competencies: Strong clinical background, advanced payer negotiation skills, financial data analysis, root-cause investigation, and team supervisory capabilities.
