Job Overview
Emirates is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to support aircraft maintenance activities for the Emirates fleet, third-party aircraft and aircraft components. The role involves assisting licensed aircraft engineers and senior maintenance staff with routine maintenance, component handling, servicing and other technical activities.
The successful candidate will work as part of an aircraft maintenance team and will report to a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) while performing assigned duties under the supervision of senior technical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist aircraft technicians and engineers with routine aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures, safety standards and aviation regulations.
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance tasks as delegated by senior maintenance personnel.
- Report any defects, abnormalities or technical issues identified during maintenance activities to the designated engineer.
- Identify and obtain the required aircraft parts, materials and equipment needed to complete assigned maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the removal and installation of aircraft components under appropriate supervision.
- Clean aircraft areas, components, tools and equipment in accordance with established safety and maintenance procedures.
- Use aircraft maintenance tools and equipment responsibly and ensure they are cleaned, maintained and properly stored after use.
- Return aircraft spares and maintenance materials to their designated storage locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe and obstruction-free work area throughout maintenance activities.
- Follow company safety procedures and take appropriate action to protect yourself, colleagues and aircraft assets.
- Communicate effectively with aircraft maintenance team members and demonstrate a clear understanding of assigned tasks.
- Read and understand relevant maintenance documentation, work instructions, objectives and operational procedures.
- Follow Emirates company procedures, aviation regulations and employment requirements.
- Perform additional maintenance-related duties assigned by supervisors to support departmental targets and operational requirements.
Aircraft Maintenance Safety
Safety is a key priority in aircraft maintenance. The Aircraft Mechanic must consistently follow approved maintenance procedures and maintain high standards of workplace safety.
The role requires careful handling of aircraft components, tools, equipment and materials while ensuring that maintenance areas remain organized and free from potential hazards.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates applying for this Aircraft Mechanic position should have:
- HND or OND qualification without OJT, preferably from an aviation college.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices and procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow technical documentation and maintenance instructions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Strong commitment to aviation safety and workplace procedures.
- Ability to work under the supervision of senior aircraft maintenance personnel.
