Aftermarket Sourcing Specialist – Dubai, UAE

Role Overview
The Sourcing Engineer is responsible for procuring engineering products for the Oil & Gas sector while developing strong supplier partnerships in line with Al-Futtaim policies. This role involves global sourcing, supplier registration, and close coordination with internal teams for order processing and payments. The position also supports revenue growth through effective sales management, customer engagement, and identifying new business opportunities. Additionally, the role includes leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement

• Source a wide range of engineering products for the Oil & Gas industry, including pumps, valves, seals, compressors, motors, sensors, tools, and customized equipment.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships aligned with company policies.
• Manage global sourcing activities and supplier registrations.
• Coordinate with inventory and finance teams to ensure timely order placement and payments.

Sales & Customer Engagement

• Drive revenue growth by managing parts sales, improving customer retention, and optimizing distribution strategies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including re-engaging lost customers.
• Ensure timely fulfillment of customer requirements, considering lead times and specification changes.

Team & Operations Management

• Oversee the full sales process and lead a team of 5 After Sales Engineers and Service Managers.
• Manage and coordinate 12 technicians to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Prepare quotations, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain healthy receivables.

Market Awareness & Compliance

• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Monitor market trends, demand, pricing, and competitor activities to maintain optimal sales performance.

Required Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment used in Oil & Gas operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships and manage suppliers effectively.
• Experience handling techno-commercial contracts and agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in SAP systems.
• Solid knowledge of compressors, pumps, valves, seals, sensors, and compressed air systems.
• Experience in the UAE or Middle East is preferred, along with strong business acumen and leadership skills.
