Overview

We seek a skilled and detail-driven Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our AP team and oversee the end-to-end payment cycle. This role ensures accurate invoice processing, payment execution, policy compliance, and vendor relationship management. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, process improvement capabilities, and strong technical knowledge of financial systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounts payable team, including onboarding, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee the AP lifecycle—invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card expenses.
  • Reconcile AP aging reports and resolve discrepancies or overdue accounts.
  • Enforce and maintain compliance with AP policies and internal controls.
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendor payment issues and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Prepare month-end AP reports, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Assist in audit processes by providing supporting documentation and timely responses.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline AP operations and implement process improvements.
  • Manage vendor setup, documentation, and compliance validation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of accounts payable experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Proficient in AP workflows and accounting principles.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume AP or shared services environments.
  • Familiarity with AP automation and electronic invoicing platforms.
  • Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, or similar) are a plus.
