Established in the 1930s as a trading business, Al-Futtaim Group today is one of the most diversified and progressive, privately held regional businesses headquartered in Dubai, United Arab EmiratesThe Accounts Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Senior Financial Controller by handling Monthly Review & MIS, Management Dashboard reporting, Budgeting and forecasting, Divisional performance analysis, productivity analysis, and Business Review Meeting presentations. This position also leads the reporting strategy for Aftersales business development, ensuring accurate and effective aftersales information is provided. The role involves managing highly sensitive and confidential organizational information and interacting with senior contacts, requiring a high degree of discretion, tact, diplomacy, and judgment.
- Your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing the performance of all After Sales brands against targets, presenting findings and recommendations to operational stakeholders for business improvement.
Developing and managing monthly KPIs by location to support profit maximization efforts.
Providing timely and effective Management Reports, including financial and operational dashboards, to Automotive business operations for efficient management.
Participating actively in operational stakeholder meetings such as Aftersales service operation committee meetings, monthly closing meetings, and management meetings.
Assisting in financial planning and analysis for strategic planning activities, including Annual Budgets, Forecasts, strategic plans, and Board presentations.
Conducting financial feasibility analyses and entering data into feasibility models to present clear and accurate business assessments to management.
Developing regular and ad-hoc financial reports, submitting them to AL Futtaim HQ, and posting actual, forecast, and budget financial results into SAP for group financial consolidation.
Reviewing accounting transactions for accuracy and ensuring proper calculation and recording of Inventory and Doubtful Debts Provision in compliance with financial policies.
Managing monthly book closing activities for the assigned division and reconciling complex accounts escalated from the Accounts Receivable team.
Engaging with customers and internal personnel, including the sales team, on accounting matters.
Leading divisional pricing strategies and fostering a collaborative work environment focused on achieving common business objectives.
Occasionally performing tasks outside the scope of regular duties as required by work demands.
Creating processes for annual revenue and cost budgeting and forecasting processes.
Collaborating with the aftersales team to maintain rigorous cost and investment discipline.
Establishing and maintaining an effective reporting cycle to monitor business momentum and proactively identifying potential issues through reports such as Business Scorecards, Revenue Reports, and Pipeline Reports.
Required Skills for Success:
Proficiency in SAP.
Finance professional certification.
Strong communication abilities.
Knowledge of aftersales business operations.
About the Team:
You will report directly to the Senior Financial Controller.
Qualifications for the Role:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a Diploma in Accounting and Financial Management.
Preferably Chartered Accountancy/ACCA/CIMA/MBA (Finance).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance management, preferably in the automotive sector.
Understanding of business processes, basic IT functions, management principles, and accounting standards.
Computer proficiency, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office and financial modeling in Excel.
Analytical and numerical acumen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
