Job Purpose
The Senior Spa Receptionist is responsible for delivering a warm, professional, and personalized guest experience throughout the spa journey. The role involves welcoming guests, managing spa reception operations, coordinating appointments and treatments, handling guest requests, and ensuring consistently high service standards in a luxury 5-star hospitality environment.
As a key representative of the spa and hotel brand, the Senior Spa Receptionist ensures that every guest receives attentive service from arrival through departure and leaves with a positive and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional, and personalized manner.
- Manage the complete guest journey from arrival and check-in to treatment coordination and departure.
- Handle spa reservations, appointments, cancellations, and guest inquiries efficiently.
- Provide accurate information about spa treatments, facilities, services, packages, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate with therapists and other spa departments to ensure smooth and timely guest service.
- Maintain a high standard of guest care in line with luxury 5-star hospitality expectations.
- Understand guest preferences and recommend suitable spa treatments and services when appropriate.
- Handle guest complaints and requests professionally and provide effective service recovery.
- Maintain accurate guest records, appointments, and relevant reception documentation.
- Support the achievement of spa business objectives, including financial and non-financial targets.
- Assist with monitoring operational performance, resource allocation, and service efficiency.
- Contribute to cost-control initiatives while maintaining high-quality guest service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and other hotel departments.
- Provide constructive feedback and support team members through on-the-job coaching.
- Assist in completing assigned projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Follow hotel, spa, health, safety, hygiene, and guest-service standards at all times.
- Help create a welcoming, relaxing, and professional spa environment for every guest.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar spa reception or front-office role, preferably within a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
- High school diploma is required; a college or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Beauty Therapy, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Additional language skills are an advantage.
- Excellent guest-service and interpersonal skills with a genuine service-oriented personality.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to understand and respond effectively to guest needs.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
