Al-Futtaim Automotive is hiring an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the end-to-end automotive parts supply chain operations for BYD and Denza brands across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Based in Riyadh, the role will oversee demand forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment, warehousing, logistics, and operational efficiency across the Central Distribution Center (CDC) and branch network.
The Supply Chain Manager will have a direct impact on automotive parts availability, Aftersales profitability, inventory performance, working capital, and customer experience. The position will also serve as a key supply chain interface between Al-Futtaim Automotive’s KSA operations and the BYD principal supply chain organization.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the automotive parts supply chain strategy for BYD and Denza in Saudi Arabia.
- Manage demand forecasting, replenishment cycles, stocking policies, and parts obsolescence.
- Develop demand forecasting models based on vehicle parc growth, seasonality, campaigns, warranty requirements, and market demand.
- Establish inventory targets for the Central Distribution Center and branches to optimize parts availability, fill rates, and working capital.
- Align supply chain planning with the expansion of the BYD and Denza Aftersales network across KSA.
Inventory Management & Parts Operations
- Monitor key inventory performance indicators including stock turnover, first-pick fill rate, back-order ratio, aging inventory, and obsolescence provisions.
- Improve inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, governance processes, and effective ERP management.
- Standardize parts operations across branches and ensure consistent replenishment procedures.
- Manage Vehicle Off Road (VOR) parts requirements and emergency ordering processes.
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory and develop appropriate inventory optimization strategies.
- Improve parts availability while maintaining efficient inventory levels and working capital.
OE & Principal Management
- Act as the primary KSA supply chain contact for BYD HQ and principal supply chain teams.
- Coordinate OE parts ordering, allocations, supply commitments, and delivery schedules.
- Escalate and resolve parts shortages, allocation challenges, and supply disruptions.
- Manage relationships with OE and third-party suppliers.
- Support negotiations related to supply terms, pricing reviews, service levels, and commercial commitments.
- Maintain strong communication with principal stakeholders to support reliable parts supply.
Warehousing & Logistics
- Oversee inbound and outbound automotive parts logistics across the KSA network.
- Manage customs clearance, freight planning, transportation, and last-mile distribution to branches.
- Improve logistics efficiency and identify opportunities to optimize transportation costs and delivery lead times.
- Drive warehouse productivity, space utilization, and layout optimization.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with applicable safety, quality, HSE, and operational standards.
- Support the development of efficient distribution processes as the BYD and Denza network expands.
Supply Chain Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare monthly supply chain performance reviews for Aftersales and brand leadership.
- Develop and maintain dashboards covering inventory health, parts availability, OE order performance, supply disruptions, and branch service levels.
- Analyze supply chain trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and service enhancement.
- Use ERP and business intelligence tools to support data-driven supply chain decisions.
- Track supply chain KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Aftersales, Service, Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations teams to align supply chain decisions with business priorities.
- Support new branch openings and expansion projects from an automotive parts and supply chain perspective.
- Ensure parts readiness for new vehicle launches and product introductions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer service and Aftersales performance.
- Lead and develop supply chain teams to achieve operational and commercial objectives.
Required Skills and Competencies

Education and Experience
To qualify for this Supply Chain Manager position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- An MBA or professional supply chain certification such as CPIM or CSCP is preferred.
- 13–20 years of experience in automotive parts supply chain management.
- Strong experience across Central Distribution Centers, branch parts operations, inventory management, and OE/principal management.
- Proven experience establishing, improving, or transforming automotive parts operations across multi-branch dealer networks.
- Strong knowledge of automotive ERP systems and business intelligence reporting tools.
- Previous GCC or Saudi Arabia market experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in automotive Aftersales, parts distribution, and dealer network operations will be highly relevant.
