Job Overview

We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to support cybersecurity operations across the organisation in Dubai. This entry-level role focuses on SIEM administration, security monitoring, incident investigation, vulnerability assessment, and cyber defence activities.

The successful candidate will work with security, IT, network, and application teams to identify potential threats, investigate security events, support incident response, and strengthen security controls. The position also provides opportunities to develop practical cybersecurity skills while working in a dynamic security operations environment.

Key Responsibilities

QRadar SIEM Administration

• Administer and maintain IBM QRadar SIEM infrastructure to support effective security monitoring.
• Ensure QRadar software, patches, and system upgrades are maintained according to requirements.
• Monitor and analyse security events and alerts generated through QRadar.
• Conduct regular QRadar health checks and support system performance optimisation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve QRadar-related operational and performance issues.
• Work with cybersecurity and IT teams to develop, improve, and maintain security use cases and detection rules.
• Provide technical support to relevant teams and stakeholders for QRadar-related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation covering QRadar configurations, processes, and operating procedures.

Security Operations and Incident Response

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and other cybersecurity platforms.
• Investigate suspicious activities and security incidents to determine their potential impact and root cause.
• Analyse security events to identify indicators of compromise, attack techniques, and potential threats.
• Support containment, eradication, and recovery activities during cybersecurity incidents.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting investigation findings, actions taken, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with IT, network, infrastructure, and application teams to implement appropriate security controls.
• Participate in incident response exercises and security simulations to improve operational readiness.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and support remediation activities with relevant technical teams.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and attack methods through continuous research and professional development.

Security Processes and Knowledge Management

• Work with SOC team members to review and improve security procedures, processes, and operational activity lists.
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge required to perform SOC and information security analyst responsibilities.
• Support timely vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking.
• Ensure security activities are completed in accordance with established procedures and service-level requirements.
• Maintain accurate security documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

Required Skills

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in information security, cybersecurity, SOC operations, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of information security principles and cybersecurity concepts.
• Familiarity with commonly used cybersecurity tools and technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in an operational security environment.
• Strong commitment to meeting SLAs and supporting critical business requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple security tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
