Job Overview

Al-Futtaim Automotive is looking for a Light Vehicle Driver to support logistics operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves driving light vehicles and trucks up to 3.0 tonnes, transporting and handling vehicles and goods across assigned locations, and supporting activities such as port clearance, vehicle picking, binning, scanning, cleaning, and fueling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient vehicle handling, accurate documentation, timely completion of assigned duties, and maintaining high standards of service and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive light vehicles and trucks up to 3.0 tonnes across Al-Futtaim Logistics locations and other destinations within the UAE.
• Support logistics activities including port clearance, vehicle picking, binning, scanning, and transportation.
• Maintain a damage-free driving record and immediately report accidents, incidents, or damage involving company vehicles or property.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and records according to company procedures.
• Follow established driving and vehicle-handling Quality SOPs and comply with applicable quality-control requirements.
• Wear the required company uniform and PPE while maintaining professional conduct with customers, colleagues, and business partners.
• Use the RDT device to scan vehicles and update bin locations accurately.
• Work closely with team members and follow instructions from supervisors and line managers.
• Wash, clean, and fuel new vehicles as required before delivery or movement.
• Update vehicle fuel information through the SMART Fill System.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and report maintenance or operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete assigned transportation and logistics tasks safely, accurately, and within required timelines.
• Follow company safety procedures, traffic regulations, and operational standards at all times.

Required Skills

• Good driving and vehicle-handling skills for light vehicles up to 3.0 tonnes.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate vehicle logs, records, and operational reports.
• Understanding of vehicle-handling procedures and quality standards.
• Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good teamwork, reliability, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matriculation or equivalent educational qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving Class 3 vehicles.
• Valid Category 3 driving licence or relevant UAE driving licence as required for the position.
• Experience in logistics, automotive transportation, vehicle handling, or related operations is an advantage.
• Candidates should meet the employer’s applicable age and licensing requirements.
