Job Overview
Alfanar Building Systems is seeking an experienced Maintenance Foreman to lead and coordinate maintenance activities across machinery, production equipment, and facility systems in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for supervising maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics while ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The Maintenance Foreman will help reduce equipment downtime, improve machinery reliability, manage spare parts, and support continuous production operations. The position also works closely with production and engineering teams to identify maintenance issues and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Team Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics.
- Assign daily maintenance activities according to operational priorities and planned schedules.
- Monitor team performance and ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Provide coaching and training on maintenance procedures, equipment handling, and workplace safety.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately and maintain a balanced distribution of work.
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Plan, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment breakdowns.
- Carry out and supervise corrective maintenance and repair activities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and service life.
Machinery and Facility Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of production machinery and industrial equipment, including furnaces, mills, presses, and related systems.
- Ensure factory infrastructure and utility systems are maintained effectively.
- Monitor maintenance requirements for HVAC, electrical systems, utilities, and other facility equipment.
- Coordinate equipment repairs, inspections, modifications, and maintenance improvements.
Spare Parts and Inventory Management
- Monitor maintenance spare parts and consumable inventory.
- Ensure critical replacement components are available when required.
- Coordinate spare parts requirements and replacement orders.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts usage and maintenance materials.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor equipment performance, breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection reports.
- Track equipment downtime, recurring faults, maintenance costs, and completed work.
- Prepare periodic maintenance reports for management.
- Highlight deviations from planned maintenance schedules and recommend corrective actions.
Coordination and Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and reliability improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, systems, and procedures.
- Promote efficient use of manpower, equipment, materials, and maintenance resources.

- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and maintenance-related problems.
- Investigate equipment failures and recurring breakdowns.
- Escalate complex technical or operational issues to the appropriate management or engineering team.
Quality
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable quality requirements and technical specifications.
- Support effective maintenance quality-control processes.
- Ensure repaired and maintained equipment meets operational requirements.
Process Improvement
- Follow established maintenance systems, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Support initiatives designed to improve maintenance efficiency, equipment reliability, and operational performance.
Compliance and Safety
- Follow company policies, procedures, and maintenance work instructions.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Promote safe working practices among maintenance personnel.
- Ensure maintenance work is performed in accordance with applicable workplace and legislative requirements.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related technical field.
Work Experience
- 4 to 6 years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Previous experience supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment is preferred.
- Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance is advantageous.
