We are looking for an experienced Storekeeper to manage warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving activities. The role involves receiving and inspecting materials, maintaining accurate stock records, issuing supplies, coordinating material inspections, and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials and chemicals.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the inventory of plant supplies, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Prepare and maintain requisitions, purchase orders, reports, correspondence, and other warehouse documentation.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders.
- Inspect deliveries and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the appropriate department.
- Record daily incoming and outgoing stock transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Report cancelled, damaged, or non-conforming materials to the purchasing department.
- Coordinate the inspection of newly received materials with relevant personnel.
- Notify concerned departments when materials arrive and are ready for inspection.
- Identify, segregate, label, preserve, and properly store warehouse materials.
- Handle, store, and document hazardous materials in accordance with applicable safety procedures.
- Maintain records related to chemicals, expired materials, waste, and other controlled items.
- Segregate waste and arrange for appropriate disposal according to company procedures.
- Issue materials based on approved requirements and maintain proper issue records.
- Arrange the return of defective or non-conforming materials to suppliers when required.
- Respond to queries related to deliveries, receipts, warranties, repairs, surplus materials, and warehouse procedures.
- Keep the warehouse, storage areas, and records area clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Support inventory checks and stock reconciliation activities.
- Ensure materials are stored safely and can be located and retrieved efficiently.
- Follow company requirements relating to Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
- Perform other storekeeping and warehouse-related duties assigned by management.
Education Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, warehouse operations, inventory control, or materials management.
- 6 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of warehouse and inventory management practices.
- Knowledge of receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, and distribution of materials.
- Understanding of the safe handling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of chemical-related environmental and occupational health risks.
- Ability to identify, handle, store, segregate, and dispose of waste and expired chemicals safely.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to type at approximately 35 words per minute.
- Good computer skills and ability to use standard office and inventory-related software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Understanding of Hazard Risk Assessment and Aspect & Impact Assessment.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with different departments.

Working knowledge or awareness of the following standards is preferred:
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management
- ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
- OHSAS 18001 / Occupational Health & Safety Management
Candidates with relevant warehouse, inventory, hazardous-material handling, or occupational safety training will be an added advantage.
