Key Responsibilities
- Install sandwich panels and standing seam roofing systems at construction sites.
- Measure, mark, cut, position, align, and secure roofing and wall panels accurately.
- Install flashings, trims, gutters, clips, and other roofing and cladding accessories.
- Apply appropriate sealants and waterproofing materials to joints and connection areas.
- Check installed sections for proper alignment, secure fixing, and potential leakage points.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and seaming machines safely during installation work.
- Follow relevant shop drawings, project specifications, and supervisor instructions.
- Coordinate with other construction team members to complete installation activities efficiently.
- Follow site safety procedures and use the required personal protective equipment.
- Perform installation work safely at heights.
- Operate or work with manlifts and scissor lifts when required and appropriately qualified.
- Maintain tools and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience with sandwich panel installation, standing seam roofing, cladding, or similar construction work is preferred.
Candidates should have a basic ability to understand shop drawings, take accurate measurements, and use common installation tools. Knowledge of roofing, cladding, sealing, and waterproofing practices will be useful for this position.
Experience working with MEWPs, manlifts, or similar access equipment is considered an advantage.
Work Environment
This is a construction-based role that may involve regular outdoor work and working at elevated locations. Candidates should therefore be comfortable working at heights and following the required fall-protection and site-safety procedures.
