Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking a Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join its Finance team in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The position will support business performance through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial modelling, feasibility analysis, and commercial insights.

The role will work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, HR, and senior management to provide reliable financial information, identify business trends, evaluate performance, and support sound commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Management Reporting

  • Prepare and distribute monthly management information reports and financial performance packs.
  • Analyze business results, operational performance, and significant financial variances.
  • Develop financial models and reporting tools to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance against agreed targets.
  • Provide management with clear analysis of financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

Commercial and Business Analysis

  • Develop analysis to support pricing decisions, intercompany rates, customer profitability, and third-party business opportunities.
  • Evaluate costs, revenues, margins, and profitability across business activities.
  • Support commercial teams with financial information for pricing and business decisions.
  • Review divisional performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Analyze contracts, service-level agreements, and other commercial arrangements from a financial perspective.

Feasibility Studies and Business Cases

  • Support financial feasibility studies for new projects, expansion plans, and commercial initiatives.
  • Prepare financial evaluations and business cases for management review.
  • Assess potential costs, revenues, returns, and financial risks associated with proposed initiatives.
  • Translate financial and operational data into practical recommendations.

KPI and Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators.
  • Identify unusual movements, unfavorable trends, and potential business risks.
  • Provide meaningful analysis to help management understand performance gaps.
  • Work with relevant teams to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.

CAPEX and Financial Governance

  • Prepare CAPEX and AFE requests in coordination with operational teams.
  • Ensure investment requests follow applicable company policies and approval procedures.
  • Support effective financial controls and governance across assigned business activities.
  • Maintain accurate supporting documentation for financial reviews and approvals.

VAT and Tax Support

  • Provide guidance to relevant teams on VAT and tax requirements affecting sales and purchase transactions.
  • Maintain appropriate tax-related records and supporting documentation.
  • Support quarterly and annual tax return processes where required.
  • Assist with tax and financial audits by providing relevant information and documentation.
  • Support awareness and training initiatives relating to VAT and tax compliance.
  • Coordinate applicable accounting, regulatory, audit, VAT, and tax requirements across UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, where relevant.

Reporting and Management Support

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis, reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
  • Provide timely financial information to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and analysis files for future reference.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve reporting processes and financial visibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in financial planning, commercial finance, management reporting, and business analysis.

Education and Professional Qualification

  • Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or an equivalent recognized finance qualification.

Experience Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant finance experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial finance, operational finance, or a related business-support function.
  • Practical experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial analysis, and performance reviews.
  • Experience with VAT, tax compliance, audit support, and financial governance is preferred.

About the Finance Team

The successful candidate will join the Finance team and work closely with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business. The team plays an important role in financial control, business performance monitoring, planning, reporting, and decision support.
