The role is responsible for achieving operational targets, improving productivity, maintaining quality and safety standards, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement in line with business objectives and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Manage daily operational activities across production, maintenance, quality, and support functions.
• Ensure operational plans and schedules are delivered according to business priorities.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, quality, cost, delivery, and safety performance.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth business operations.

Production & Delivery

• Monitor production progress and ensure output and delivery targets are achieved.
• Optimize the utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and operational capacity.
• Track key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where required.
• Support teams in resolving production delays and operational challenges.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure operations comply with company policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Promote a safe and disciplined workplace environment.
• Monitor quality issues, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Maintain effective housekeeping and 5S practices across operational areas.

Resource & Cost Management

• Ensure effective utilization of operational resources.
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, rework, and unnecessary expenses.
• Support budgeting and expense-control activities.
• Improve manpower planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, workflow, and service levels.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
• Work with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support the adoption of new technologies, systems, tools, and operational best practices.

Team Management & Reporting

• Lead and develop operations teams while maintaining clear accountability and performance standards.
• Allocate responsibilities and support employee development.
• Identify high performers and develop future leadership capabilities.
• Address performance gaps through appropriate coaching and performance management.
• Prepare operational reports and provide management with performance updates and recommendations.

Business Planning & Performance

• Translate corporate objectives into practical operational and business plans.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and improve annual and development plans.
• Track performance against targets and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Monitor operational budgets and expenses to achieve cost efficiency.
• Provide regular progress reports to management.

Organizational & Process Development

• Develop operational structures according to current business requirements and future growth plans.
• Ensure appropriate job descriptions, responsibilities, and delegation of authority are established.
• Develop and maintain effective operational policies, procedures, and systems.
• Identify opportunities for automation and promote the effective use of IT solutions.
• Support digital transformation and continuous improvement across operations.

Quality, Health, Safety & Environment

• Maintain high standards of quality across operational activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
• Promote a safe, secure, disciplined, and professional working environment.
• Encourage continuous improvement in operational quality and workplace safety.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of operations management and operational planning.
• Understanding of production, maintenance, quality, resource, and cost management.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

• 10–15 years of relevant professional experience, or
• 15+ years of relevant experience for senior-level operational responsibility.
