Senior Project Manager – Al Futtaim Contracting (Al Futtaim Construction)

Overview

Al Futtaim Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for managing project execution from planning through completion while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, manage project risks, and drive operational excellence across complex residential, commercial, and high-rise developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of large-scale construction projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, procurement, construction, and handover activities.
• Develop and implement effective project delivery strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor project performance, costs, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maintaining project profitability.
• Administer contracts and manage subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve project issues proactively and provide regular progress updates to senior management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and construction practices.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
• Expertise in budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in risk management, contract administration, and quality assurance.
• Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• 12–15 years of experience managing major construction projects.
• Proven experience delivering residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise developments.
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations, quality standards, and project lifecycle management.
