Key Responsibilities
Electrical Design & Engineering
- Prepare, review, and verify electrical designs, layouts, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Develop accurate electrical drawings using AutoCAD and approved engineering design software.
- Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
- Review project documents, technical specifications, and contract requirements before design execution.
Project Planning & Coordination
- Participate in project kick-off meetings and understand project requirements.
- Coordinate with the Design Section Manager to meet project schedules and milestones.
- Prepare and maintain engineering job files according to company procedures.
CAD & Drawing Management
- Guide CAD operators in preparing:
- Electrical layouts
- One-line diagrams
- Control schematics
- Civil coordination drawings
- Review AutoCAD drawings for technical accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Update and release engineering drawings according to project timelines.
Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
- Prepare and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components.
- Release long-lead material requirements through SAP within project deadlines.
- Ensure BOM accuracy between SAP and engineering drawings.
- Optimize the use of available inventory where technically feasible.
Production & Manufacturing Support
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely release of manufacturing drawings.
- Provide updated drawings to Mechanical Engineering teams for fabrication planning.
- Support production by resolving technical design issues during manufacturing.
Technical Support & Quality Assurance
- Provide engineering support to production, quality, and inspection teams.
- Resolve technical queries related to electrical design and documentation.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 4–6 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design standards, and industrial projects.
- Experience preparing engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and production support.
