A leading fashion retail company in the United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Design (Kidswear) to support the creation of stylish, trend-focused children’s apparel collections. This role is ideal for fashion professionals who have a passion for kidswear design, strong technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Research global fashion trends, colors, fabrics, prints, and silhouettes relevant to children’s fashion.
- Support the Design Manager in planning and developing seasonal kidswear collections.
- Create technical sketches, artwork, graphics, and product specifications.
- Prepare accurate tech packs for manufacturing and product development.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure successful product execution.
- Maintain design consistency across collections while meeting brand standards.
- Participate in trend presentations, design reviews, and product development meetings.
- Coordinate multiple projects and meet seasonal production timelines.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Required Skills
- Excellent understanding of kidswear fashion trends and garment construction.
- Strong creativity with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience with CLO 3D software is an added advantage.
- Ability to create placement graphics and all-over print designs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent time management with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in fashion design, preferably in kidswear.
- Experience designing apparel collections for retail brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical drawing, and product development skills.
