Alfanar Electric is hiring an experienced Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, optimizing production efficiency, reducing operational costs, enhancing product quality, and implementing industry best practices within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development & Manufacturing Improvement
- Develop and maintain manufacturing process routes, factory layouts, and workstation designs.
- Analyze and improve production workflows to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Implement process optimization and automation initiatives.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and prototype development activities.
- Establish and maintain production work instructions and operating procedures.
- Identify tooling, fixtures, and process parameters required for high-quality production.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Production Planning & Performance Analysis
- Conduct cycle time studies and production efficiency evaluations.
- Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and recommend improvements.
- Perform process capability studies and Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis.
- Support annual production planning and budget preparation.
- Conduct cost impact assessments and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Engineering & Technical Support
- Prepare machine specifications and evaluate equipment suppliers.
- Coordinate machine installation, commissioning, and production handover activities.
- Troubleshoot production and process-related issues.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)
- Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) standards and company policies.
- Support workplace safety initiatives and environmental compliance programs.
- Participate in risk assessments and operational safety reviews.
- Promote 5S practices and continuous improvement culture across production areas.
- Monitor quality and safety performance indicators and implement corrective actions when required.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide technical guidance and support to production teams.
- Conduct training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support employee development and performance improvement initiatives.
- Promote teamwork and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Eligibility Criteria
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience within electrical manufacturing, switchgear, or industrial production environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production optimization, and process automation.
