Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Design Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE, specializing in thermoforming and GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) components for vehicle production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing vehicle parts and molds, ensuring manufacturability, and supporting integration across multiple engineering functions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design thermoformed and GRP components and molds for vehicle manufacturing.

Review part designs for feasibility in molding/forming processes and recommend necessary design adjustments to facilitate part extraction.

Prepare detailed designs for blocks used in mold machining, and release 2D and 3D CAD data for production.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and mounting departments to ensure part integration on vehicles.

Utilize non-conventional technologies such as 3D scanning and 3D printing for rapid prototyping.

Perform additional engineering tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager and Engineering Director.
Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a related design engineering role, preferably within the automotive or vehicle manufacturing industry.

Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D design software; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

Hands-on experience with mould design, thermoforming, GRP components, and vehicle part development is essential.
