Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Online Merchandiser to drive trading execution and support day-to-day operations across M&S-owned websites and third-party Quick Commerce platforms. This role requires a strong balance of technical capability, commercial insight, and operational efficiency, with a focus on ensuring seamless digital execution and optimize d product presentation across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Operations (KIBO):

  • Manage daily website updates through the KIBO platform.

  • Build and maintain landing pages, promotional campaigns, and seasonal content in collaboration with content teams.

  • Support site refreshes and online merchandising activities to improve customer conversion.

  • Ensure timely product launches in coordination with the merchandising team.

  • Optimize product tagging, categorization, and SEO for discoverability.

  • Conduct content testing and publishing with a focus on quality and customer experience.

Quick Commerce Platform Management:

  • Oversee product listings, stock synchronization, pricing, and availability on platforms such as Deliveroo, Foodpanda, Instashop, Grab, and others.

  • Upload and manage digital assets aligned with promotional calendars and marketing initiatives.

  • Monitor performance KPIs (e.g., order availability, cancellation rate, delivery times) and promptly address any issues.

  • Adapt product descriptions, images, and content to meet platform-specific and market-specific requirements.

Campaign Execution & Asset Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and publish marketing assets across all channels (homepage, emails, banners, push notifications, PPC).

  • Develop content briefs that align with commercial priorities and customer trends.

  • Maintain a centralized tracker for campaign go-lives across web and partner platforms.

  • Work closely with SEO and performance marketing teams to ensure optimal keyword usage and content effectiveness.

Reporting & Insights:

  • Generate and distribute daily/weekly reports on product availability, content readiness, platform performance, and campaign execution.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance site and platform performance.

  • Partner with the Trade Manager and trading teams to refine merchandising strategies based on performance trends.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is a plus).

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple platforms simultaneously.

  • Solution-oriented, dependable, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Culturally adaptable, with the ability to localize content and visuals for specific markets.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years in Online Merchandising, Web Content Management, or Digital Trading.

  • Experience with CMS platforms (ideally HCLDX) and eCommerce tools (e.g., KIBO, SAP).

  • Hands-on experience managing digital operations on Quick Commerce platforms is a strong advantage.

  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and dashboard reporting.

  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to produce clear, actionable reporting.
