As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality operation of the workshop. Your primary focus will be on maximizing productivity, maintaining safety and quality standards, and delivering outstanding service. You will play a key role in supporting workshop staff, coordinating with management, and driving continuous improvement across all service activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the communication bridge between senior management and workshop staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Supervise all repair and maintenance activities to guarantee top-quality workmanship and reduce repeat jobs.
- Identify training requirements and oversee staff development to enhance technical capabilities and performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workshop environment.
- Ensure all technicians follow safety protocols, wear specified uniforms, and comply with disciplinary standards.
- Monitor the condition and proper use of workshop equipment and tools.
- Enforce correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assign tasks strategically based on technician skill levels to optimize productivity and workflow.
- Ensure accurate time-clocking and maintain detailed job cards with records of all vehicle work performed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Workshop Supervisor in an automotive dealership environment.
- Demonstrated ability to assign tasks effectively based on job complexity and team capabilities.
- Skilled in preparing accurate and detailed technical reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team Environment
You will report to the Aftersales Manager and work in close collaboration with Technicians and Service Advisors. Cross-functional coordination will be a key part of your role to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will be essential in upholding workshop standards and service excellence.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Degree or diploma in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of technical or supervisory experience within a dealership workshop; experience with EVs is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and technical expertise, proficiency in computer applications (especially Excel), and effective communication skills.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
