Al Futtaim Motors – Toyota is seeking a skilled and proactive Workshop Planner to join our team in Ajman. In this role, you will be central to our aftersales operations, responsible for assigning technical jobs, coordinating workflow, and ensuring vehicles are delivered on time with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Job Allocation & Scheduling
    Assign repair and maintenance tasks to technicians based on individual skillsets and job complexity to optimise efficiency and productivity.

  • Job Progress Monitoring
    Oversee and update the technician planning board and Job Progress Control Board, raising concerns to the Workshop Manager as needed.

  • Performance Management
    Track technician utilisation and efficiency to meet workshop performance targets, ensuring a fair and balanced workload.

  • Quality Control
    Ensure adherence to the Fix It Right (FIR) process, promoting first-time resolution and reducing repeat repairs.

  • Timely Job Closure
    Monitor and drive the timely completion of assigned jobs while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

  • Timekeeping Oversight
    Maintain accurate time clocking records and escalate discrepancies where necessary.

  • Communication & Coordination
    Keep Service Advisors regularly updated on job status to support timely and accurate customer vehicle delivery.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Workshop Planner or Controller in an automotive dealership

  • Proven ability to allocate tasks based on technical competencies and job demands

  • Proficient in preparing technical reports and documentation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering

  • Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician is advantageous

  • UAE driving license is preferred but not mandatory


Reporting Line & Team Structure

You will report directly to the Aftersales Manager and work closely with Technicians, Service Advisors, and other workshop staff. Your coordination and communication will be key in ensuring workshop efficiency and exceptional customer satisfaction.
