Role Overview

Marks & Spencer is looking for a detail-oriented and commercially driven Online Merchandiser to support daily trading and operations across our eCommerce website and Quick Commerce platforms (e.g., Deliveroo, Foodpanda, Instashop, Grab). A partner agency manages this outsourced role but operates closely with internal M&S teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with website content management, product catalogues, and third-party platforms, combined with strong analytical and coordination skills.


Key Responsibilities

1. Website Operations (KIBO CMS)

  • Manage daily updates on the M&S website using KIBO.
  • Build and update landing pages, promotional campaigns, and seasonal features.
  • Support site merchandising to improve conversion rates and customer experience.
  • Coordinate product launches with internal teams, ensuring accurate categorisation and tagging.
  • Perform content testing and publishing to uphold high accuracy standards.

2. Quick Commerce Platform Management

  • Maintain product listings, stock levels, pricing, and availability across Deliveroo, Foodpanda, Instashop, Grab, and others.
  • Upload and manage digital assets to align with marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., cancellation rates, stock issues) and troubleshoot promptly.
  • Tailor product descriptions, naming, and visuals for platform and market relevance.

3. Campaign Execution & Asset Coordination

  • Work cross-functionally to gather and upload marketing content (email banners, homepage features, push notifications, PPC assets).
  • Create content briefs based on seasonal trends and business goals.
  • Track go-live dates and campaign milestones across platforms.
  • Collaborate with SEO and performance teams to ensure optimised content.

4. Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate daily/weekly performance and availability reports.
  • Share insights and actionable recommendations to improve trading outcomes.
  • Work with Trade Managers to refine digital merchandising based on analytics and user trends.

Your Skills and Strengths

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Proactive and solution-focused with high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple digital platforms simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt visuals and messaging for local market relevance.
  • Strong team player who can work independently and take initiative.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Online Merchandising, eCommerce Trading, or Web Content Management.
  • Hands-on experience with CMS and eCommerce systems (KIBO, HCLDX, SAP preferred).
  • Experience with Quick Commerce platforms is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using Google Analytics, Excel, and performance dashboards.
