Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to support the commercial growth of our Freight Forwarding business. You will play a key role in acquiring new customers and generating additional business from existing clients, all while managing internal and external relationships to ensure business growth and customer retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Client Acquisition: Identify and develop a strong client base, establishing a significant presence for AFL in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • Sales Performance: Manage and achieve the sales budget set for the fiscal year.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various sales channels, including global network partners, to service high-potential international customers.
  • Sales Evaluation: Analyze sales performance to assess successes and challenges, refining strategies to optimize efforts and address issues.
  • Business Development: Drive business growth through value-added selling, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Client Retention: Maintain 100% client retention by ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Reporting: Deliver regular performance and sales reports to monitor progress and refine strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Freight Forwarding Expertise: In-depth knowledge of international freight forwarding, market trends, and global trade practices.
  • Market Understanding: Strong understanding of the freight forwarding and supply chain industry, particularly in the Abu Dhabi market.
  • Regional Trade Dynamics: Expertise in trade operations involving the UAE and the broader GCC/Middle East region.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate effectively, influence client decisions, and drive positive business outcomes.

Team and Reporting:

You will report to the Commercial MENA Head and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding sales, specifically within the Abu Dhabi market.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
