Al-Futtaim Retail is hiring a Sales Assistant for its Toys “R” Us store at Zahia City Center, Dubai, UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with retail sales experience and a passion for customer service to join one of the region’s leading retail groups.
As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering an enjoyable shopping experience, assisting customers with product information, supporting daily store operations, and contributing to sales targets. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store while ensuring every customer receives friendly and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service and Sales Support
- Welcome customers with a friendly greeting and provide professional assistance throughout their shopping experience.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products based on their needs.
- Share accurate and up-to-date product information to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships by providing attentive and timely service.
- Assist customers in fitting rooms, follow up on their requirements, and identify opportunities to recommend additional products.
- Thank customers for visiting the store and encourage them to return.
2. Cash Counter and Sales Operations
- Provide efficient and accurate customer service at the cash counter.
- Promote gift cards and relevant offers to increase sales opportunities.
- Collect and update customer information in the store database in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization around the cash counter.
- Support the store team in achieving sales targets and delivering a positive shopping experience.
3. Store Maintenance and Visual Merchandising
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive retail store environment.
- Ensure products and merchandise are displayed according to company visual merchandising guidelines.
- Follow store presentation standards and instructions from the management team.
- Support daily store activities and assist with operational tasks when required.
- Ensure the shopping area remains welcoming, safe, and easy for customers to navigate.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service.
- Previous experience in a retail store, preferably in a customer-facing sales position.
- Basic knowledge of CAD or graphic design applications for creating visuals and store plans.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, including a minimum of 8 hours, and handle physical tasks involving heavy lifting.
