Job Overview

A leading organization is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join its IT team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure, automation tools, and deployment solutions that support the complete software development lifecycle.

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with software development, quality control (QC), and IT operations teams to improve deployment efficiency, automate infrastructure management, and ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments.

Candidates with experience in CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, Kubernetes, and system automation are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. CI/CD Pipeline Management

• Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Use industry-standard DevOps tools to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Improve deployment workflows to ensure faster, more reliable software releases.

• Monitor pipeline performance and resolve deployment-related issues.

• Support development teams in implementing efficient release management practices.

2. Infrastructure Monitoring and Maintenance

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and system performance.

• Identify infrastructure issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Monitor system health, availability, and resource utilization.

• Perform routine infrastructure maintenance and optimization.

• Support reliable operations across cloud and on-premises environments.

3. Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.

• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.

• Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Support infrastructure deployment and resource management across different environments.

4. Containerization and Orchestration

• Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker.

• Configure and maintain container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Amazon ECS.

• Support application deployment, scaling, and management in containerized environments.

• Monitor container performance and troubleshoot operational issues.

• Improve application availability and deployment consistency through container technologies.

5. System Automation and Configuration Management

• Automate system configuration, software deployment, and infrastructure management activities.

• Use configuration management tools such as Ansible and other automation technologies.

• Develop automation processes to reduce manual operational tasks.

• Support infrastructure scaling and configuration consistency.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.

6. Security and Compliance

• Maintain and improve infrastructure security across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Implement appropriate security controls and access management practices.

• Support compliance with company IT policies and security standards.

• Maintain backup strategies and support disaster recovery procedures.

• Identify infrastructure security risks and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

7. Collaboration with Development Teams

• Work closely with software developers, QC teams, and IT operations to streamline software delivery.

• Support development teams in optimizing applications for performance and scalability.

• Coordinate deployment requirements and resolve application infrastructure issues.

• Promote collaboration between development and operations teams.

• Support reliable application delivery across development, testing, and production environments.

8. System Performance and Capacity Planning

• Conduct regular system performance testing and infrastructure monitoring.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization measures.

• Perform capacity planning to support business and application growth.

• Monitor infrastructure resource utilization and recommend improvements.

• Ensure systems maintain the required performance, scalability, and availability.

9. Technical Documentation and Operational Excellence

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and system environments.

• Document automation workflows, operational procedures, and configuration standards.

• Maintain updated records of infrastructure changes and deployment activities.

• Establish consistent operational procedures and best practices.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across DevOps operations.

Job Requirements

Academic Qualification

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.

Work Experience

• 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps engineering, infrastructure management, or IT operations.

• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and system administration is beneficial.

Technical and Functional Skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and management.

• Cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Containerization using Docker.

• Container orchestration using Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
