Khansaheb Group is hiring an experienced Barista to join its Food & Beverage team in Dubai, UAE. This is a full-time job opportunity for candidates with a background in cafés, restaurants, beverage preparation, and customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, welcoming customers, processing orders and payments, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering excellent customer experiences. Candidates with 2–3 years of relevant experience in the restaurant or café industry are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
1. Customer Service and Guest Experience
Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable beverages and menu items.
Ensure customers receive a positive dining and café experience in line with company service standards.
Respond promptly to customer questions and requests.
2. Beverage Preparation and Product Knowledge
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
Understand beverage ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation requirements.
Maintain good knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens.
Ensure beverages are prepared accurately and consistently.
3. Order Taking and Cash Handling
Take customer orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Process cash and credit card payments according to company procedures.
Present bills to customers when requested and ensure accurate billing.
Handle customer transactions professionally and responsibly.
4. Restaurant and Café Operations
Prepare the café or restaurant before service by completing all required mise-en-place activities.
Maintain clean tables, clear used dishes, and replenish supplies when required.
Ensure service areas, seating areas, and equipment remain clean and organised.
Follow established service procedures and restaurant operating standards.
5. Sales and Upselling
Promote beverages, food items, and other products available on the menu.
Explain product features and recommend suitable options to customers.
Identify opportunities to increase sales through cross-selling and upselling.
Maintain strong product knowledge to support customer purchasing decisions.
6. Teamwork and Workplace Hygiene
Work closely with colleagues to maintain smooth daily operations.
Communicate important information during shift handovers.
Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Complete equipment cleaning and maintenance schedules as required.
Maintain a safe, hygienic, and professional working environment.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a café, restaurant, or food and beverage environment.
Good knowledge of hot and cold beverage preparation.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Previous experience in cash handling and POS systems.
Good understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
Knowledge of food ingredients, beverage recipes, and allergens.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good sales, upselling, and customer interaction skills.
